Darryl ♥ Ee Teng ~ 6 January 2013
It was a blissful day in the first week of the New Year, Darryl & Ee Teng joined in matrimony at the CHIJMES Hall; a venue that Ee Teng has dreamed to get married in. As her dream-wish is fulfilled, Darryl has his fulfilled to hold her hands and grow old together. Darryl had a bright idea of a memento invite in a form of a bookmark. He chose this love expression [執子之手 舆子偕佬] from a classic poem to symbolize their love on the self-crafted bookmark, inviting family and close friends to witness their union.
The reception hall was adorned with purple decorations and accessories, the Bride has made a Wedding Wishes ‘sticky’ board for their love ones to write their warm wishes.
When Darryl & Ee Teng were brainstorming for ideas to celebrate their nuptials, the Unity Sands Ceremony appeals to them for its symbolic union. Using ET’s favourite colour Purple against white, used by Darryl, both newly weds formed layers of their ‘lives’ with these sands will forever entwined in the ‘Heart’ vase.
A grand banquet was held at Raffles City Convention Centre later in that evening, the Canning Ballroom @Fairmont-Swissotel was decorated in shades of purple and lavender, Wintry Rhapsody was the theme.
It was an entertaining evening….. there were a couple of tribute-speeches from the Best Man and Maid of Honor, a bridesmaid-friend-guest-professional-singer, a friend from overseas surprised them with a video greeting and the most memorable entertainment of all (judging from the thunderous applause in the ballroom) was when the Groom serenading his Bride with a Mandarin love song; a surprise he had prepared for her which moved her to tears (happy tears).
Last but not least, here are some blissful pictures of the couple on their Big Day….
